Wacky Pack Wednesday

I think everyone will guess this week's Wacky. Wonder Bread has been around since 1921. It was one of the first breads to be available pre-sliced. How about that?

When I was a tot, back in the dark ages, before the glut of stickers, my mother actually cut out the colored dots on the Wonder bread wrapper for us kids to glue to art projects. Pretty innovative, no?

Have a Wonder-ful day!!

  1. The packing on Wonderbread is the best part. Love the idea of using the colorful dots for crafts!

    1. Thanks for the comment. I'll give my mom credit-- cutting dots out of plastic takes some patience!

  2. Innovative, yes...Now I know where you get it..

  3. My folks wouldn't buy Wonderbread. They were just no fun

  4. i love that your mom was already so craft-centric when you were a kid! no wonder you've become such a creative and inspiring artist AND mom!!! clearly it runs in the family! :)

  5. Your Mom was a mixed media artisan way ahead of her time! Great wacky :O)

  6. Did not know this about sliced bread...
now I know where the cut it out and use it up gene comes from in your family!
