Some Fun Finds

The finds have been rather scant once again. I think I need to move to a new area! Ha, ha... 

This is pretty nifty, however. A Mary Poppins board game from 1964.

And another board game, The Bride Game, from 1971. Wouldn't that be a fun decoration at a bridal shower?

Also shown in the first photo: unopened Rolodex cards (great for ICAD and other collagey crafts), and unopened flower paper punch, and unopened pack of label stickers, and an unopened 7 Gypsies ATC/photo tray. Not bad.

My daughter and I found this Flatsy clock at a thrift store. Those are very hard to come by. This one is in really good condition, except the hot dog/ice cream cart is missing. Maybe some day we'll find one. Come one-- stranger things have happened.

Notebooks

I recently made some Christmas themed notebooks, junk journals, blank books (pick one) for my Etsy shop. Since they turned out pretty nice, I decided to make some more. These have a cat theme. I was also thinking dog, horse, garden, travel...

Here are a few of the pages. I made some "collage" type papers from vintage stuff I have. The miracle of scanners!

I also added some cut images, rubber stamp designs, punched doodads, etc. I will say they take quite a lot of time to make, but I like the results.

The Animal Fair

A short while back, I showed a children's book, The Animals At The Seashore (see it here). Today let's look at a similar book, The Animal Fair, published in 1964.

Lots of lively, colorful illustrations.

There are also some monochromatic type illustrations.

The Alphabet Collage Book

I have been working on a fun, just for me, project this summer and finally finished it. An alphabet book made up of collaged pages. I used what I had and didn't print anything from the internet.

I'll start you off with "A," of course. Then instead of having a single post with 26 pictures, I thought I would add a two page spread to every post that follows (hope I don't forget-- I make no promises!). If you have noting better to do, and you should probably hope you do, see how many things you can identify on each page that starts with that letter. No, I didn't count.
