Wacky Pack Wednesday

Here we are, back to Wacky Pack Wednesday. For any new readers, you might want to read my first Wacky Pack post if you don't know what this is all about.

This is a vintage Wacky from the 70s. Yes, they still make it. No, it no longer comes in a glass bottle.

Of course it is Log Cabin syrup.  Introduced in 1887, believe it or not, it was named in honor of Abraham Lincoln.

Happy Wednesday!

  1. I remember packs of cards with a flat hard piece of gum that was covered with white powder and broke in two like a stick. But don't remember much about the cards. :) Everything is plastic now. Pretty sad! Happy New Year, Tammy

  3. I shopped at the local grocer last week --a close out sale. The spices isle...had a lot there, while some isles were almost empty. I did see a couple of Log Cabin syrups on the shelf. All plastic. Didn't know it was named for Abraham Lincoln. I just figured it was maple and grown in the hills or something backwoods, you know?
I learn so much through my bloggy friends!
    Have good week.

    1. You know way back when it actually came in a tin that looked like a log cabin-- there's a few anniversary repros on Etsy.
