Monday's Muster #35

An older collection today; I've bought books about classic Hollywood since the early 80s. Here are some of them on a bookcase shelf.

Some are about specific stars.

I have quite a few about westerns.

Most are compilations of photos. The old black and white photography is gorgeous.

I don't buy these much anymore, but I did splurge on this one earlier this year. It's wonderful!

Have a great day!

  2. Quite a collection - have you read them all or are they full of pictures? Whatever, very nice and very interesting books to have!

  3. Hello Diane, I am excited to meet you and I love your blog. I am a huge fan of old black and white movies. Your book collection is wonderful. I'm sure that you have a lot of movie facts collected in your mind and would be great playing Jeopardy, when their movie categories pop up.
I have been wanting to get into making trading cards. Your post before this one truly inspires me. Thank you for visiting my blog, because it brought me here. I am your newest follower and I would love it if you would return and hit my follow button, too. I'm retired and I so enjoy all the friendships that I have made through blogging, it fills that lonely spot the working with other women each day has left empty. Oh, one more thing. I loved reading the story that you told about your grandpa and his mail horse. What a lovely family memory.
    Your newest blogging sister,
    Connie :)

  5. Hi Diane! I loved this post, since I am a collector of these types of books also. I have a pretty good collection, and yours looks fabulous, too.
I used to belong to a "Movie Book Club". I have no idea how many I have because they are all over the place. I will buy them at thrift stores when I find a good one, but I'm really out of room. Recently, I found a book about Clark Gable (that I didn't already have!) that was written by his wife after he died.
I still have this dream that I will some day have one of those library rooms with floor to ceiling bookshelves and a rolling ladder. I long to have all of my similar subject books together in one place. All by a certain author together, etc. etc.
Between my husband (who has been collecting railroad books for more than fifty years) and myself, this would require so many shelves as to be very unlikely. We are one of those rare couples who very truly NEED a library. A BIG one. Sigh.........
