ICAD 21-25

Yes, I'm back with the next ICAD installment. The prompt for this card was "Invent A Prompt." I decided on "text only." I was curious what a collage of only words would look like, no paint, no ink... I like it.

This card was an ode to Father's Day, but with the prompts I didn't upload it until the following Wednesday. Better late than never? The image is from an old catalog; the rest is paint, ink, and gel pen.

I used watercolor to make the yellow "squares." Then had no idea what to do with them. Black marker to the rescue. I've had three thin markers quit on me this month! I'm down to a kind of thicker one which I'm not too wild about. Guess it's time to buy new ones.

Another collage-y, mixed media piece. An old catalog clipping, watercolor, craft paint, rubber stamps, ink, and gel pen.

Here we have another zentangle style card. The background is random watercolors. I followed the outline of the paint and added the designs with a marker and gel pen. And, yes, this was made while I still had a decent black marker.

Enjoy your weekend!

  2. I'm so glad you're doing ICAD this year, so I can live vicariously through you. I, too, like the text only one.

Seriously... I thought of doing something with purple squares... but didn't know what. So I left that idea... and yours looks wonderful!
