Not a lot of finds have been found recently, but here is the meager haul. A little book illustrated by Tasha Tudor from 1952. Very sweet.
A dollhouse rocker and a few more postcards. The bird cards were put out by the National Wildlife federation in the 50s; they are really pretty. The St. Pat's card shows its age- must be from the early 1900s, but those are hard to find. The Christmas card is different due to the red, white, and blue stripes. Must have been made during WWI.
Go ahead-- you can chuckle at these. They are plastic canvas tissue box covers. I thought the colors were nice and cheery, and they're in good condition too.
I have bought a few of these Walter Foster art books before and was unable to resell them, but when that's the only thing of interest in the entire store...
What a lovely book in your first photo, and the tissue box covers are a delight to behold. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks-- those tissue covers are actually pretty nifty!
DeleteYou were lucky to find a St. Patrick's Day card - at least you came home with something - like you said, better than nothing!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet book of prayers. I was little when that book came out. Great finds my friend. You did good! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWonderful postcards and the book looks so sweet.
