This Old Dollhouse

Now that you've seen the individual rooms, here is my dollhouse in its entirety. Made of plywood, nothing fancy at all.  There is an attic; you can reach up under the roof to store pieces not in use-- very handy.  There are also three finger-sized holes drilled on each side near the top; great for moving the house, which I have done many, many times.

So the reason I've held onto this none too spectacular house is very simple: my grandfather made it.  There's a reason no one can argue with.

Thanks for coming on my "little" tour.  I plan to post progress on the new house now and then.

Enjoy!

  1. How wonderful that your grandfather made it. That makes it the best doll house ever.

you truly don't need to reply to each and everyone. I'm just going to be telling you my thoughts on them anyway. Because, I'm so in love with doll houses right now!
I'm impressed with your Grandfather's skills!
adorable little house. I zero-ed in on the swag lamp...I'm wanting to incorporate one of these in my own doll house, as I have them in my REAL HOME. I love vintage swags!
    So...does this one work?
    Also...love the thread basket, too.
