Thrift Games

The thrift finds have been sooooooo lacking of late I was thinking of giving up the ship, but I did find some nifty old games recently. I've never seen this one before. Made in Austria, it is a memory game of famous paintings. Pretty cool.

Bingo, anyone?

Some pretty old poker chips in their boxes.

And a definitely old pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey game. Very nice art on the box.

I also found some vintage Hallmark stationery. They sure don't make designs like this anymore.

Have a fun day!

  5. The Art Memo game has captured a lot of interest. I didn't have the game, but had some old art cards that I picked up at a yard sale years ago, (like a Time Warner, monthly pack in the mail thing)... Anyway...
I used those with my kids for school and played a game with those cards. I just made it up--
but a game with actual rules might have helped settle a few arguments!
I like the pin the tail on the donkey, I bet the box is worth a pretty penny...
