Structures In Winter

Another link party today, folks.  "Structures In Winter" is the theme in the "No WInter Whining" series.  This week's host is Muddy Boots Dreams, although the link is at Life Is Like A Garden once again.

I'm sure there will be a lot more interesting pictures than trees, but that was pretty much all I had access to.  So think of it as nature's structures.  Trees in winter do have a sculptural quality if you take the time to look.  Here are some shots of trees that share my humble street.

Enjoy!

  1. These are great photographs ... I especially liked the first one. I love taking pictures like this because it makes you stop and see things that you would have normally just passed on by.
    Have a good day!!!

  2. Sculptural beauty indeed, Diane. You have captured the beauty of the walk in winter in the most special place in the world. The place one calls home. Thank you for joining NWW this week.

  3. I love trees, the stark beauty of them in the winter is like the design behind a well constructed dress. Without trees nothing would have any perspective in our landscape.

You have captured some great shots.

Thanks for joining in No Winter Whining, I'm off to post some of these on the NWW Pinterest board.

  4. Very nice shots. I hope those trees didn't hit anything on their way down.

  5. Very nice photos. I love photos of trees in any season. My grandfather was a rural mail carrier too with a horse and wagon. I wish I had a picture of them. Have a great week. Pamela

  6. Great photos . . . I love looking up through the branches, (with or without leaves) and see the blue sky in the background. If I look up today I will be showered with rain drops!

  7. I love the look of trees in the snow and the lace-like branches against those bright blue winter skies. Nature is so beautiful.
