Since this is December First, I am sharing the annual Advent calendar at my house. My mother always bought one for us kids, and I carried on the tradition even before I had a kid. This year's comes from Bronner's online store. Love the detail! It's fairly big too, about 10" x 14".
I'm sharing this lovely calendar with "A Favorite Thing" at Mockingbird Hill Cottage.
Do you have an Advent calendar this year?
Enjoy!
What a nice tradition -- reminds me of being a kid and having the advent calendars with the chocolate behind the doors!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It brings back wonderful memories of several my sister and I had growing up. I would sit and dream of living in a time and place like the one depicted in the picture. We do have an advent calendar. Each day we put a different tiny ornament on a hook placed on a snowman. I love the nostalgia of yours!

No Advent calendar here but Bronner's brings back memories of trips to Frankenmuth! I'm a native Michigander.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in this week, Diane.

I have never had an Advent calender. Need to check that out and see if I can find one I like.
ReplyDeletewhen the kids were little I started buying Hallmark Advent Calendars, under each tab it has a part of a story. They are adorable and treasured still 30 years later!
ReplyDeleteI do not have one but always did as a child, and when my boys were young. Seeing yours makes me want to go buy one :)
ReplyDeleteI love advent calendars and always had a chocolate one when I was little.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my little blog and commenting. How great your daughter found a small Dala at an estate sale, lucky girl! Thanks for telling me about the dala garland and the blog, I'll be sure and check it out. I've seen some embroidery patterns too, that I'd like to make.
Two great minds with a single thought as they say ... well almost. ;) I couldn't think of a thing to share this week and then I thought of an advent calendar I had been given long ago - but then I remembered that it's in a box at the bottom of a pile of several boxes ... so I changed my mind LOL.
I adore advent calendars. What's more fun than knowing there's a charming surprise behind the door! The one you've shared is so lovely. Enjoy!
Wishing you a lovely week!
I love Advent calendars and always had them for my children....so this brings back those memories.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comments everyone!
DeleteThis is a lovely Advent's calendar. I have had one with birds (from a bird rescue center) for years; birds in all kinds of surrounding like forest, gardens, lakes, mountains. There is also a little information about the birds included.
