Kitchen Dogs Part 1

To continue the dog figurine mini series, I have a shadowbox type shelf in my kitchen.  On that (or in that?), I display some old saucers, my small Batman collection (yes, that reads Batman!), and some more of the dog collection.  These fellows oversee all the meal prep.

 Distinguished Collie

Cute Beagle, named "Sam," according to his paper tag.  Unfortunately his tail was broken some time before he came into my possession.  This was one of my mom's favorites.

This terrier also has a paper label, naming him "Mac."

Cute, cartoony pup. I picked this up really cheap at an antique store about 15 years ago.
This is an old, glass candy container.  Hard to find them with their original caps.

Where would the world be without dogs, I wonder?

Happy Saturday, everyone!

  1. I've never seen a glass container like yours. Wonderful. I cannot get enough of dog figurines, so keep 'em coming!

Now why haven't I started a dog figurine collection? Hmmm.

Thanks so much for joining in this week, Diane.

  6. What a great collection of figurines. I have seen the glass one, but NOT with the cap. What a treasure. Thanks for stopping by for the Letter L in my AtoZ Challenge. Come again. There will be more from the ladies of the LoneStar Quilting Bee.

I am really loving the fact that I caught up with the Pups...but what?!!?

    Holy PAMPERED POOCH...
    YOU. HAVE. A. BATMAN. COLLECTION???!!!

    I must see this.
    I don't care if it's small.
(wait, does that mean...they are small batmans/batmen? OR the overall collection is small?)

    either way...
I can't put it any more emphatically, I must see this.

  8. Well personally, I don't think the world would be worth living in without dogs! You have an amazing collection of pups Diane, do they live in every room in your house?
