ATC/ACEO

Below is an ATC I created for Inspiration Avenue's current challenge: Which Road?

I've been making a lot of ATCs and ACEOs lately.  I've touched on that in an earlier post, but if you're thinking, "What the heck does ATC and ACEO stand for?" read on.  Artist Trading Cards (ATC) are mini works of art.  A standard 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" size, they can be any media or mixed and are to be swapped.  ACEO stands for Art Cards Editions or Originals; they are the same with the exception they are intended to be sold.

ATCs are fun-- to me-- due to the size, you can finish one off rather quickly. Storage is easy, displaying is easy, shipping is easy, and they are just plain cool!  Give it a whirl some rainy, sleety, snowy day.

All of these cards will find their way to my Etsy shop one of these days.  A couple are already there.

Enjoy!

  1. ATC's are so much fun! I started a trading group several years ago at our local scrapbooking store. I think our highest attendance was about 10 people, but we were consistent traders. I have albums! The scrapbook store moved to smaller quarters and further away, so the ATC group was abandoned, but I still miss everyone.

I made a road ATC some time ago, a map with a flying saucer flying over New Mexico. The cartoon bubble said, "I told you to take a right at Albuquerque!" (Ok, I'm too silly!)

  3. You've done some lovely little cards... I've made a few in my time too, with the intent of selling them, but never did... and it's funny, before there were ATC/ACEO's, there were "miniatures", which is what my Mum painted... basically the same thing but before there was a name for them! LOL! Cheers~

  4. I remember the first time someone asked me for photos so they could turn them into ATC's and I was like "what are they?"

    Yours are lovely...

  6. Great ATCs - you've really got a style that comes through in each one and in each collection. The "which road" card speaks to me personally - I've never found a detour I could ignore without feeling like it had to be the most interesting road in the world.
