Time for a childhood book: Betty and Bobby on Vacation which you can see is a "Dial-a-Tale" book. Very cool back in a day when interactive books were extremely rare. Published in 1957, this too, must have come into my possession at least ten years later.
You can see from the worn and torn edges how much this book was read.
You spin the dial and go to that page number to read that specific page. Then spin again to go to the next page. It is pretty fun and a clever way to keep a story from getting old, although that usually is not a problem for little ones, right?
As you can see, they have some pretty exciting adventures.
Pretty nifty. Glad my mother hung onto this one.
