Switch Plate Switch

Naturally when you paint, a few things no longer match. Such as a bronze-colored switch plate I had on a hall wall. I looked at Etsy, thinking I'd buy a new, hip plate. There I saw a few decoupaged plates. Never thought of that. I have Mod Podge, I have paper, I have old, cheapy, plastic switch plates...

I rather like the results. Pretty easy to do too. I did glue a few spots around the edges. I also painted the white screw heads with craft paint. I'm interested to see how well this holds up, but at the moment, it looks great.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Great idea!!! Looks good!

When we did a kitchen remodel, our light fixtures and heat vents didn't match the cupboard handles, we spray painted everything - it turned out perfect!!

  4. That's putting your thinking cap on! And just think how easy it will be to change it again if you ever need to. Great job!

  5. Wonderful transformation Diane! It should hold up well with the Modge Podge I'd think?
