TH Tag May

A new month means a new tag challenge at the Tim Holtz blog. If you've been following along, you know I decided to make an ATC and coordinating inchie instead of a tag. Here is my take on May's tag:

That lovely lady is my grandmother (the same photo as the "Four Generations" layout I posted here awhile back). I copied the photo and cut it down to look like a wallet or photo booth type photo. As far as the quote goes-- that could be said for both of my grandmothers.

Hodge Podge of Finds

Showcasing some recent finds today. Up first is what a lot of resellers would call a major dud-- vintage coffee mugs. They generally do not sell well, but these were a bargain and I love stackable mugs.

A unused scrapbook, a small baggie of sequin fish, and a Nancy Drew-- both for my daughter.

Pretty cool book and a nice tie for my FIL.

Note the original price tag still tucked in the end of the tie. I paid 75 cents. I think we can safely call that a bargain.

A very nice Joan Walsh Anglund book.

Animal ATCs

I decided to use these animal stamp stickers I had on some ATCs recently. Kind of different-- I like the way they turned out.  Making ATCs is really limitless-- you can use anything to create them.

Wacky Pack Wednesday

Everyone should recognize this week's Wacky Pack even though the wrapper has changed quite a lot. Do you remember 3 Musketeers bars in a white wrapper and three musketeers represented on the front? You just can't count on anything these days. I bet you don't remember the candy was actually three separate bars in one package: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.  My mother told me that years ago. She was right. The candy was first produced that way in 1932, but costs and sugar restrictions during WWII made them change it to just one chocolate bar. There's your trivia for today.

UPDATE: It dawned on me at about 9 a.m. that I should have posted this yesterday! DUH! I knew yesterday was Wednesday and today was Thursday; I'm beginning to worry about myself. LOL. Sorry for any confusion I caused.

1967 Home Accessories

Looking for some home accessories from 1967? No, well, that's what the Sears catalog has to show us today. How about some rather mod lighting?

Speaking of mod...

At the other end, we have colonial type kitchen accessories. Would you believe my dad has a similar chalk/bulletin board still hanging in his kitchen-- and it is still used! It looks exactly the same except the chalk side is on the right.

Pretty stylish dinnerware.

Nesting Time

Who among you remembers three years ago I wrote a post about robins nesting on the side of my house? Anyone? Do I hear crickets and see tumbleweeds blowing by? Well, see this post and this one if you're interested.  Here is a photo from three years ago:
