Crimping Your Style

The current theme at Shopping Our Stash is "Don't Crimp My Style," meaning they want you to use a paper crimper which I don't own or cardboard (which I do own) or a few other crimped type choices. Going right for the cardboard, I wanted to make a Fallish-Owlish type something. Kind of tired of ATCs and tags lately so I just decided to make a picture (or two). I couldn't find an owl image I liked which led me to a sheet of October Afternoon chipboard stickers. From a now closed online scrapbook store I received the sheet as a freebie with an order. Not quite my style I never did use any until now. The cat and owl are from that sheet. Maybe I should have used them sooner-- I like the way these turned out.

Both are 6" x 4" and, like I said, just pictures. Thanks to SOS for the idea! Have a good day everybody!

  3. Cute cards! Love the texture from the cardboard. I used to have a paper crimper but I rarely used it so I finally sold it at a garage sale. Of course, afterward I remembered that I used it to make my own "sour cream containers." Oh well. I know where I can get a new one if I really need it. lol

  4. Well... these turned out too CUTE!
Love the cardboard! These have a tattered and vintage-y look even with the "not your style" stickers!

  5. I used to use my crimper a lot in my creative days. It's funny how you do something for a while and then forget about it. Cute card

  6. Those are wonderful Diane! I keep forgetting about the wonderful texture you get with cardboard, I have to pull some out of my stash and leave it sitting on my table so I remember to use it!!
