Old books today for Monday's Muster. Vintage Whitman movie star stories. I stumbled onto these several years ago on Ebay. From the 40s, these books feature popular stars of the time and were geared at younger readers. I don't have the complete series. Some titles seem rather scarce, and it is hard to find these in good condition-- cheap paper, I think, but aren't the covers fun?
Maybe one day I'll have the entire set! That would be something.
Enjoy!
I've never seen those before. Love the covers.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen that series (and I've seen a lot of series!) Hope you can collect them all. That would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThese are AWESOME! I wonder if I have any of them...I'll have to look. Some of my Westerns look similar to these. I love the bright colors. I found some neat books this week at a book sale. I need to take some photos and do a post soon. Enjoy your day my friend. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these before either. Wow! They look like fun and I can see why they would be so collectible. Great find!
ReplyDeleteOur local symphony just did a program dedicated to Judy Garland..It was great...
ReplyDeleteNew to me! Hope you complete that set someday...
ReplyDeleteThanks-- that would be fun!
DeleteThose are great covers!! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that!
ReplyDeleteNow aren't those interesting! Some movie studio exec was very inventive to have those published :O)
