Head Hunters: Winking

Since I posted a head vase find a couple of days ago, I decided to share another I have.  This is my favorite of my small collection for several reasons.  I like her bow; I like the bright colors, she is winking, and it's the only one I owned that belonged to my mother.

Considering my mom's "era," I'm kind of surprised she didn't have another one or two, but I'm very happy with this one!

Linking to Mockingbird Hill Cottage and "A Favorite Thing" with my favorite head vase!

Enjoy!

  1. I'm always fascinated by Head Vases. I don't have any myself. This one is wonderful! Do you have many? Are you collecting them, Diane?

Thanks so much for joining in this week!

  2. Oh, she is a beauty and very special since she belonged to your mother. I have quite a large collection of Head Vases that I've blogged about, and several books on them. Most of mine have been thrifted or gifts. They have a very interesting history and unique story of being a Rare Collectible. Thanks for visiting CITexas Gal today via Claudia's Favorite Thing.

  4. Oh I love her! And her wink just makes her that much cuter! I have a couple of head vases that belonged to my father-in-law -- decidedly masculine in nature and historical. They are Royal Doulton. But I like yours much better!!

  7. one of the items I have of my grandmother's that I absolutely cherish is a head vase. I remember it being in various places in her home. The vase I have looks a little like Lucille Ball with a pearl necklace and earrings. Yours is fabulous!
