Gurley Thanksgiving
If you've been keeping track, you know my grandmother had quite a Gurley candle collection. Only three are Thanksgiving candles. I know, these are not rare. I've already seen them all over Blogland, but they're mine. I had to post about them since this is my first Thanksgiving with a blog.

My mother had this pilgrim girl too, and the matching boy and turkey! I loved putting them out each year. She never burned them either, and I guess that is why I can't burn figural candles now! Happy Thanksgiving! Linda

ReplyDeleteI never knew what Gurley candles were until I started blogging! We had a set of those pilgrim candles when I was little, and I would always play with them. My Mom has since given them to me, and when our daughter was little, she would play with them too!
ReplyDeleteI think my grandmother had the same set Linda described in the earlier comment-- a girl like the one you pictured, and a boy, and a turkey. I never knew the company that made them, so I'm glad I came across this post!
