Movie-Star Portraits of the Forties

Today we're peeking into one of my movie star books, Movie-Star Portraits of the Forties. I've had this since 1985. It's a no frills paperback volume, but a great resource of photos which are all black and white by the way. Rita Hayworth is pictured on the cover.

Most of us know this famous shot of Betty Grable, 1941.

A sophisticated shot of Marlene Dietrich, 1940,

A very famous couple, Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier, 1941.

Veronica Lake, 1942

Dorothy Lamour, 1943

Errol Flynn, 1946

There are quite a few photos of Rita Hayworth. Here she is in a very 40s looking ensemble, 1946.

Barbara Stanwyck, 1944

Elizabeth Taylor, 1950 (I guess they decided to sneak this one in).

A young Marilyn Monroe, 1948.

Have a beautiful day!
