Watercolor Bookmarks

I often make bookmarks for my Etsy shop using cardstock for the base. I decided to try something a little different and use watercolor paper. I blobbed, schumtzed, painted (take your pick) backgrounds with no idea of what I would add to them.

I used magazine transferred (on packaging tape) images and scrapbook paper.

Here are a few others I made later.

What do you think? Kinda neat? At least it's fun to try new things nice in awhile.

Have a fun day!

  3. I read your status. That is how I feel about art and photography. Whatever drives my fancy. Was beautiful day in Canada. So went to a town and got out for half hour walked around. I took pictures of the river, art in a window, door. Now home.

    I love photography as well.

  4. schumtzed ??? Interesting word..I've done water color backgrounds in the past..Kinda fun..Have you tried shaving cream drizzled with reinkers, swirled a bit..Then lay the card stock on top of the mess and dry..?
