Flood The Streets With Art

Have you heard of "Flood the Streets with Art?" I just stumbled on to it several days ago. The idea is to not shop on Black Friday but give away a piece of art by leaving it at a public place. I thought it sounded fun so made the ATC below.

My daughter wanted to get in on it too and made this ATC.

So anyone finding your work understands the concept (and that it wasn't just accidentally left behind), including some sort of note is necessary.

Happy Black Friday whatever you decide to do!

  6. Love this idea~
been out of town-- just doing some catch up reading. Found this to be a great idea; though I didn't flood the streets with art, I did... weigh down the clothes line with all my 'trip laundry' and bedding! The wind blew hard today with sunny skies...so it all dried pretty fast... what didn't blow away. ;)

  7. What a fabulous idea Diane, the last thing we all need in our life is more 'stuff' and we all definitely need more art so what a wonderful event. Someone was very lucky to find both your art piece and your daughters. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
