Kaisercraft Sketch #2 (3-13)

Posting my latest LO for Kaisercraft (Saturday Sketch Challenge #2).  The photo is a copy of the 1920 original.  My great-grandfather is holding my aunt who was his first grandchild.  Obviously a cute picture, it's even sweeter when you know Grandfather was, by all accounts, a very stern, no-nonsense man.  His job as a police officer probably had a lot to do with that.

I used a mix of Kaisercraft paper lines, but the colors still worked well together. Maybe even gruff Grandpa would like it!

  1. What a lovely way to keep a family history, and so special for your aunt (assuming she is still alive), and if not for her, for the rest of the family... a pretty way of looking at things as opposed to s "straight forward" photo album! Cheers~

  2. He does look like a serious kind of guy. I love your treatment of the photograph, very vintage feeling, like those lovely old albums that place flowers near photos.

  3. It's always great to use vintage family photos. Love the way you framed it.
